Trip

We were able to go to New York and stay with Chris's family for a week. Chris's sister Suzie came and so did Chris's brother Andy, his wife Jenece and their two kids. We had so much fun and it was so nice to spend a lot of time with family. We then flew to Utah and spent a week there with my family, Chris's family and friends. We had such a LONG but great vacation. We didn't want to come home!! Now we are just waiting any day for our new addition to come!! The Sacred Grove

This was the first time Christiana didn't think getting her picture taken was so much fun!! I can't believe more of the pictures didn't look like the last one, so full of tears!! The ratty teddy bear and dolls were are only saving grace!! I hope a little healthy baby brother competition will help her want to get her picture taken next time. I can't believe I will have another little one soon to take to glamour shots! So exciting!

I cut off Christiana's mullet/curls the other day and I am missing them a bit!! Anyone with any baby girl hair advice? It's hard to know what to do when her hair grows long in the back and doesn't grow very fast on the sides!!

P.S. The face Christiana is making in the third to last picture is SO Christiana. She cracks me up!! Love that girl!!

Our Family Pets

Ever since we moved into our house here in Arizona we have had cats come and go in our backyard. I think the former owners of our house took in cats or had cats or left a cat- - something. There was a cat door in our sliding glass door that we removed. So, the first summer we were here there was a cat here all summer that would come and go. Last summer a cat had a litter of babies in our back yard, but I we didn't pay much attention to them or see them very often. This summer we had another cat (I think it was one of the babies from the first litter) have a litter of four kittens. Christiana has LOVED having these kittens. I have LOVED having them as well. I'm not much of an animal person so this has been a great way to have animals around for Christiana. It has also been a great way to survive the Arizona heat. Christiana wants to go out and see the kittens AT LEAST three times a day. We watch them from our sliding glass door and we started feeding them once they got a little older. They are all so cute. They are getting older now and are starting to leave our backyard, but we have LOVED our kittens!!

The big day for a big lady!!

We had our ultrasound today and everything looks healthy!! Yay!! My sister-in-law wanted a picture, so here is a picture of me at 5 months, no not 8 months, five!! The ultra sound technician thought it would be twins. This actually made me feel good as I have thought the same thing for the last few months, but no twins, just one!! We are so excited to welcome our new addition!! My mom sent us a package a few days ago with a couple of outfits for Christiana and a girl newborn outfit and a boy newborn outfit. I have an AWESOME mom!! She always thinks of the right things to do!! So the verdict is. . .

Our air conditioning went out this weekend, so I look and feel a bit frazzled!! I'm so grateful for a handy husband!!!

Here we are opening up the package. Christiana is opening Chris's Father's Day card!! This blue dress is one of the outfits my mom sent and Christiana wanted me to put it on immediately!! This is saying she LOVES it, as she hates getting dressed. She has only a few clothes that she asks me to put on!!

Here are the newborn boy and girl outfits, so cute, I warned my mom that I might be needing both of them!!

But, this is the only one we will be using and we are so excited!! I think it will be so fun to have a boy!! I just hope he doesn't weigh 10 pounds 10 ounces like Chris did!!!!!

The Twenties!!

I know I am a blogging procrastinator, but I did have a birthday a little over a month ago and it was my 29th, so I figure I better document my last twentieth party!! I had a really nice birthday, although I would have loved to be with my family since I share my birthday with my dad, but my parents are so supportive and know I'm where I need to be.

We didn't do anything special, Chris and I went to lunch together and he helped me make my favorite mud-pie cake, via my request! We ate the cake outside with Greg and Rachel, Jared and Janelle and their families. Suzie came over later, even after a long day's work!! What a sweetheart!! I got a sewing machine as a mother's day/birthday present. My favorite thing about the whole day was talking to my family and a couple dear friends on the phone and getting lots of hugs and kisses from Christiana and Chris!!

Random Pictures on Memorial Day!

I have spent a lot of time today thinking about those of my family who have past on and loving the family I have here with me!! Hope you all have a great memorial day, I think of you all often!!

We're Back!!

I feel so out of touch with people because I have not been blogging for the past few months. I have occasionally checked some blogs, but I wish I would have been more diligent, I feel like I miss out on all of your lives and I'm sure you are wondering where we have been.

I feel like I have some valid excuses, but I know there is always time for people that you love, so please excuse our absence!! We are expecting another baby the 30th of October. YAY!! We are so excited to have another addition to our family!! I haven't been feeling well at all, so the last thing I've felt like doing is to get on the computer. I have spent my spare time the last few months sleeping or eating what I can to help the nausea. Now that the first trimester is over I feel great and am back in business, it's amazing to me how it goes away and it's like you were never sick!!

Chris's parents were here for all of February and half of March so that took up all the spare time and energy I had as well, all though I can't complain about that at all, I wished they lived here, we all have so much fun when they are here!!

These pictures of Christiana are from Easter. She had so much fun!! My parents and Jon came Easter weekend and we went to the Pheonix zoo and the Easter pageant. We also spent a lot of time relaxing. It was heavenly to have them here. I would love to have my parents and Chris's parents close. Grandparents are the best!! After my parents left we went to an Easter celebration with my sister-in-law's family (who I am actually related to, she is my third cousin, WEIRD, I know). Christiana loved looking for eggs with all the kids, feeding the ducks and swinging on the swings. It was a wonderful Easter weekend!!
